This case comes from Dr. Hakan Çolak in Turkey. He graduated from the Marmara University School of Dentistry in 2008 and received PhD in 2013 from Restorative Dentistry. He has been published many papers at international dental journals. He has been acting as an Editor-in-Chief of European Journal of General Dentistry since 2012. His main interest area is Direct Restorations, CAD/CAM systems, Adhesive Ceramic Restorations and Endodontics. Currently he is working as private practitioner in Kocaeli Turkey.

Patient presented with large composite filing on her endodontically treated lower first molar with deep decay in distal proximal region (Figure 1). After initial examination, full coverage restoration was planned.

Removing old composite filling and reducing the thin cusp in order to increase fracture resistance.
Cavity was filling composite resin and final preparation was completed.
